Ferragosto brings together music, gastronomy and the vibrant spirit of Montreal’s most delicious neighbourhood
Montréal, May 13, 2025 – The Société de développement commercial (SDC) Petite Italie–Marché Jean-Talon is proud to announce the return of Ferragosto, a free and lively summer celebration. The event will take place this weekend, on August 23 and 24 in the Dante Street alley, just behind the renowned Pizzeria Gema, perfectly timed for the back-to-school season. Now in its fourth edition, Ferragosto brings together music, gastronomy and the vibrant spirit of Montreal’s most delicious neighbourhood. It promises a joyful gathering in the heart of Little Italy.

It’s a moment of connection where local creativity, gastronomy and celebration come together to bring life to Dante Street alley. A Lineup Full of Music and Flavour!
Saturday, August 23 starting at 5 p.m. :
A Ferragosto-Themed Tailgate
To kick off the festivities, a Ferragosto-themed tailgate party will take place on Saturday, August 23 at 5:00 p.m. in the Dante Street alley, behind Pizzeria Gema (6827 Saint-Dominique Street, Montreal, QC H2S 3B1), as part of a special edition of Samedis pour Emporter. At 8:00 p.m., Patche will take the stage with a bold and hypnotic live set. Known for their psychedelic instrumental sound rooted in krautrock and infused with electronic influences, the band promises an electrifying performance to kick off the weekend in style.
Sunday, August 24 starting at 11:30 a.m. :
A Block Party with Pizzeria Gema
The following day (Sunday, August 24), the celebration continues in collaboration with Pizzeria Gema, Impasto, Ratafia, Café Marinelli, Vesta, and the SDC Petite Italie–Marché Jean-Talon. Dante Street alley will host a festive block party from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., featuring BBQ, wine, cocktail and summer bites. A warm, friendly and distinctly Italo-Montreal atmosphere awaits!
