We know how to embrace cold weather with activities such as tobogganing, hangboarding, and snowshoeing – all invented here (we think so anyway), but we also know how to fight winter with our underground cities, connected office towers, indoor water parks, and of course shovels and snow blowers!
Our affection for Montreal extends towards our affinity for the history of entertaining. I am talking about our street performers, led by Guy Laliberte, born in Quebec (so we are claiming him as our own), who founded the iconic Cirque du Soleil. Last year, close to 15 million people worldwide attended Cirque shows, and the province’s penchant for acrobatics has expanded to include Cirque Éloize, Les 7 doigts de la main and two specialty schools, making Montreal a circus performance centre.
Montreal is also a city that truly stands out for its unique blend of cultures, stunning architecture, and vibrant lifestyle.

Let us not forget ‘Old Montreal’, where one can explore the cobblestone streets of what is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city is also known for its high safety standards, making it a safe city to visit.
And let us not forget the local French culture and language, which is integral to the city’s identity. We have festivals and events throughout the year! As well, the nightlife here offers numerous clubs and bars to choose from. Shall I go on? Yes!
