If you ride the Montreal Public transit system effective today your wallet will be a little lighter. A single ticket which used to be $3.25 has risen to $3.50 per ticket. The monthly pass has risen as well with a $1.50 per month raise to $86.50.
This announcement was given to the public in early May by the ARTM, which oversees public transit in Montreal, Laval and south shore.
The $3.25 price of a ticket has been infect since January 2015.
The reduced fares for Students, seniors and children have not been effected by this price hike.
