Canada U.S. border – If you were hoping to drive to the United States you will have to wait a little longer. The United States government released a statement saying, “Given the outbreak and continued transmission and spread of COVID-19 within the United States and globally, the Secretary has determined that the risk of continued transmission and spread of the virus associated with COVID-19 between the United States and Canada poses an ongoing “specific threat to human life or national interests.”

The Canadian Government announced this week that the Canadian U.S. border will re-open to fully vaccinated United States citizens on August 9, 2021. The borders will also open to fully vaccinated travellers from other countries on September 7, 2021.

The new United States border order will expire one minute before midnight on August 21, 2021.
