The Quebec government has announced today that they will be dropping the COVID vaccine passport to all public spaces by March 14, 2022.

As of this Wednesday Quebecers will not have to show the vaccine passport to enter the SAQ or SQCD stores as well as larger retailers such as Costco.

February 21 COVID vaccine passport will not be required in places of worship or at funerals.

Health Minister Christian Dubé said by March 14, 2022 the entire vaccine passport program will be phased out entirely. This includes, restaurants, gyms, cinemas. He also mentioned that the government did not rule out reviving the COVID vaccine passport if the situation takes a turn for the worse.

At this time proof of vaccination will still be required for air and rail travel.

Masks will still be required to be worn in public spaces in Quebec.

Health Minister Christian Dubé did state that he believes that the vaccine passport certainly did its job in protecting all Quebecers and the health-care system during the Delta wave of COVID-19. A total of 600,000 plus unvaccinated Quebecers decided to get vaccinated after the vaccine passport was put into place last fall.
