Battle of Wits host Elspeth Wright

Hosted by Just for Laughs vet Elspeth Wright, Battle of Wits is an inventive and immersive experience sure to get everyone in the sure to get every audience member bursting with laughter or the right answers!

Elspeth Wright is originally from New Brunswick and started doing comedy in 2019. In her short time in the comedy scene, she has been completely dominating with her quick, original style of comedy. This year she was highlighted by The Montreal Gazette as an “Artist Set to Soar in 2022” and has appeared on Just For Laughs and ZooFest because of her talent.

Elspeth’s creativity and passion for the art of comedy truly explodes on stage during Battle of Wits. “There is no other show like this one. As a comedian, I loved being part of the show but I keep coming back as an audience member just to witness the magic that is Elspeth and Battle of Wits” – Abby Stonehouse (Comedian and producer)

Battle of Wits started in November of 2019 as a monthly show. After a handful of successful live shows, the pandemic shifted things for a lot of producers and comedians. Without hesitations, Elspeth switched to the virtual platform and it soon became a popular weekly online show. While the lockdown was hard, it gave the producer and host a chance to get creative and play around with the format while fine tuning the show into something truly special. It also gave her the opportunity to have amazing local and international guests such as Sean Cullen, Ali Hassan, and Tranna Wintour.
