Refaire la Marguerite Premieres in French at La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines

REFAIRE LA MARGUERITE-min

La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines and the new LA MÈCHE COURTE festival are proud to present Refaire la Marguerite, the new creation by the company L’eau du bain. Taking place November 8, 9, 13, 14 and 15, 2025 at La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines at 3700 Saint-Dominique, Montreal.

In a devastated theatre, the Ouellet-Sinou family has settled precariously: a small, somewhat waterproof hut, a hanging garden, and instruments of all kinds. As domestic life is organized as best it can, strange cries are heard. Someone, something, somewhere… is crying. Parents and children rush to respond to the cry, to release and collect this precious liquid. A delightfully crazy ceremony unfolds. Through poetic, musical, and chaotic actions, they celebrate the vitality of liquid.

In a tender, punk, and mysterious atmosphere, a ritual unfolds, inviting young and old alike to slow down, listen, and welcome the unexpected. It is a true poetic training in the art of living together, listening to what is happening quietly and dealing with disaster.

This show is suitable for all audiences aged 7 and up. It resonates particularly with children, families, but also adults who are curious about free, poetic, sensory forms. It offers moments of suspense, a space to listen to the small, the fragile, the unexpected.

In line with Créatures, the L’eau du bain company continues its exploration of water as a living, sensory material, conducive to awakening listening, surprise, and the joy of being together. A suspended moment, both improvised and deeply vibrant, to relearn how to enjoy the smallest things.
