Santa Claus Parade returns to Downtown Montréal for 2025

Santa Claus Parade returns to downtown Montreal

We are thrilled to announce that all the magic of the Santa Claus Parade returns to Montréal on Saturday, November 22. The holiday spirit is taking over downtown Montréal! The much-anticipated Santa Claus Parade will make its grand return for its 73rd edition on Saturday, November 22 at 11 a.m. along René-Lévesque Bouvelard, promising a vibrant, emotional, and colourful spectacle for the entire family.

Details of the program, including the parade route and the reveal of the Star Fairy, will be announced on Wednesday, November 12.

Once again this year, everyone is invited to celebrate Santa’s arrival in the enchanting atmosphere of the Parade, where the Star Fairy, cheerful elves, dazzling floats, and many colourful characters will all come together. It is also the perfect opportunity to rediscover downtown Montréal, its shops, restaurants, and one-of-a-kind festive atmosphere.

“The Santa Claus Parade is much more than an event. It is a celebration in the heart of Montréal. Every year, downtown comes alive with a unique energy where childhood wonder and magic take centre stage. These are the moments that make downtown a living, welcoming, and magical place,” says Glenn Castanheira, Executive Director of SDC Montréal centre-ville.
“We work passionately to make every edition a renewed and inclusive experience. The Parade brings Montrealers together around what matters most: family, community, and the joy of sharing a magical moment. Once again this year, we promise a spectacle that will make everyone dream,” adds Pierre Poulin, Project Director of the Santa Claus Parade in Montréal.

A true Québec tradition, the Santa Claus Parade is the oldest event of its kind in the province. Each year, it draws thousands of spectators who come to celebrate the holiday spirit in the heart of Montréal. This emblematic gathering officially kicks off the festive season in a joyful, family-friendly atmosphere. For this 73rd edition, the public will play an especially meaningful role in the Parade.
