COVID-19 Quebec: What you need to know

COVID-19 QUEBEC: has reached 50 confirmed cases and has over 3,000 under investigation in Quebec as of Tuesday morning March 17,2020

COVID-19 – What you need to know if you live in Quebec:

  • If you think you have symptoms of COVID-19 please call 1-877-644-4545
  • The first case of COVID-19 in Montreal has recovered
  • Montreal Public transit is maintaining regular service with increased cleaning
  • All recreational and leisure establishments are closed until further notice – this includes bars.
  • As of this morning there is advanced screening in the Montreal Trudeau Airport (YUL)
  • Montreal public Health says that there is community transmission of the COVID-19 virus
  • As of this morning Tuesday March 17, 2020 Quebec will be able to conduct 6,000 COVID-19 tests per day, (this is up from 1,600 per day)
  • Please stay in your home unless you must leave, for your safety and others.
COVID-19 Quebec: What you need to know

Test were only sent to the province’s Public Health Laboratory in Saite-Anne-de-Bellevue. Now the government has opened seven other medical centres and hospitals that will be able to analyze tests.
