Collecte verte Montreal – As part of annual Earth Day celebrations, the Collecte verte will take place once again in Montreal and Quebec City on Sunday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This semi-annual collection is an eco-friendly initiative that aims to recover unused or unwanted electric, electronic and computer equipment in order to dispose of them in a responsible, environmentally-friendly manner. Quebec residents and businesses are invited to participate in this free event and bring old devices to Collecte verte drop-off locations in both cities. In Montreal, the parking lot of the EcoDepot Montreal (Suite 108 B, 150 Boulevard Montreal-Toronto, Lachine) will be at the disposal of the community to drop off any obsolete, unwanted equipment and clutter.

392 tonnes of outdated equipment saved from landfill

Since 2013, over 392 tonnes of obsolete or unwanted electric, electronic and computer e-waste has been saved from landfills and recycled thanks to this eco-responsible event. The Collecte verte is a simple way to give a second life to objects cluttering up a home or office and to contribute to the Zero Waste movement, which has been gaining momentum in Quebec over the last few years.
