Montreal foodies … get ready to put your discriminating palates to work next month, as the 22nd edition of the Montreal en Lumiere festival, presented in collaboration with the Casino de Montreal and runs from March 4 to 28, has just unveiled its line-up for the gastronomic aspect of its programming.
This year, the festival will offer for the very first time, four special web series – each containing 22 episodes – that will focus on the joys of Quebec and local cuisine.
The four web series include the following: “Autour de la table”, presented by the Casino de Montreal, with host Vanessa Pilon, who talks with a number of local celebrities and discovers what their respective culinary secrets and passions are all about; “La brigade decouverte Montreal en Lumiere” (or the “Discovery Brigade”) finds out what food passions that define a number of local chefs and food producers; “Chef en ebullition” has a number of chefs reveal what recipes and dishes that they have experimented, developed and created during the course of the COVID-19 pandemic; “C’est l’heure de l’apero”, presented by the SAQ, invites viewers to join host Vincent Sulfite for an after-work cocktail with some of the best names in the culinary industry.
As well, 20 participating Montreal restaurants, all of whom are dedicated to using local produce and ingredients, is offering foodies across the city to savour their exclusive menus that are available throughout the run of the festival – via take-out or delivery – with the Bonnes Tables Air France. This promotion will also hold a contest called the Air France Finest Tables Contest, in which participants have the chance to win one of four $250 gift certificates good for one of the Finest Table restaurants of your choice; the contest runs from February 26 until March 11.
