Gourmet Escape to the Cook Islands — This is a dream destination in the South Pacific. Chef Gerardo D’Amore visits two tropical islands where the menu features a bounty from the sea. Although he tries to catch the ingredients he ends-up getting a sunburn instead. His solution, visiting a local market and counting on his new chef friends to help him out. Three local chefs help him understand the Island style cooking and flavours, food in a modern style and the other traditional style. Chef Gerardo’s skills are tested when he is brought on stage to perform the Ura dance….does he succeed, you be the judge? He really was in D’Amore with The Cook Islands.
