Le Burger Week Mtl 2018 – Montreal Times had the exclusivity to taste the Ebi Matane that Le Centre SheratonBistro Le Boulevard (located at the lobby level), is presenting for the Burger week.

This amazing burger was created by sous-chef Emile Tran and it was chosen by a jury to represent the hotel during Montreal Le Burger Week event. The particularity of Emile Tran’s cuisine is that he usually mixes asian gastronomy with french gastronomy, because it represents him, as he is originally vietnamese but came here from France.

In the case of Ebi Matane burger, he made a fusion of japanese cuisine with a quebecer touch, he used ingredients like Shrimps from Matane, Nori sheets, avocado etc. The way it’s presented, is original it looks like a big sushi between breads, but it’s more than that, the taste is magic, he made sure to put a little touch of love in every ingredient that he used to make the experience unique.

Here is is how they made the burger : The top bread is actually made of black inked seigle, then there is a crunchy avocado, after that, we have the Matane shrimp coated with a Nori sheet, on top of julienned sliced vegetables with a touch of ginger and wasabi.

To go along with the burger, it is accompanied by crunchy edamame with fries.

This burger was like eating a big flavourful sushi, that doesn’t require soya or wasabi, the taste was out of the ordinary, I tasted every ingredient that was used to create this masterpiece and loved it.
