The most anticipated Quebec arts and crafts show of the year will be back for a 63rd year from Dec. 6th-16th at Place Bonaventure. With more than 400 exhibitors from all over the province and even from outside Canada, The Montreal Craft Show is a major “must-visit” cultural event in Montreal.
All works exhibited at this show are recognized as “fine crafts” by peers in accordance with the norms and standards of Conseil des metiers d’art du Quebec. This makes sure that every piece has been designed and made by artists and artisans in full command of their craft.
What to expect at the show this year?
On the 2018 Montreal Craft Show program, you can expect: daily demonstrations by the Montreal Jewellery School as well as spontaneous workshops offered by our craftsmen.
Do not miss: reading sessions by Sylvie Blais (co-author of Quebec Christmas Party, Éditions de l’Homme), on the history and traditions of Quebec’s Christmas party and Jean Bouchard (author of Du bolo at G.I.Joe – Toys in Quebec, Les Éditions GID), about the history of toys in Quebec from 1939 to 1969.
Once again this year, you will be able to have your gifts wrapped by Dr. Julien Foundation’s volunteer team and contribute to the fundraising.
And, of course, meet with more than 400 craftsmen and this year’s show spokesperson : Christian Begin and maybe buy a Christmas gift or two…
