Montreal’s Hottest After-Work Hangout Returns to PVM All Summer Long

MONTREAL, July 14, 2025 – This summer, downtown Montreal will pulse to the rhythm of a series of festive after-work events under the iconic Ring of the Esplanade PVM. Every Wednesday from 4 PM to 9 PM, the Soirées sous l’Anneau x Aire commune will transform this urban agora into a true summer gathering place, at the crossroads of music, culture, and conviviality. Renowned DJs, electrifying atmosphere, and immersive experiences will be on the agenda to energize the heart of downtown Montreal.

Things already got started last Wednesday but here is the schedule of events planned for PVM this summer.

Special Evenings with Entertainment:

July 23: FRIKITON Carnival

Dive into the colourful world of Brazilian and Latin American carnivals. Dance, live music, DJ sets, and entertainment will follow one another to make the esplanade vibrate to Latin rhythms.

August 27: Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra | LA MURGA

One of Montreal’s finest orchestras will take over the stage for a show blending bossa nova, Latin jazz, and salsa. A complete formation (piano, bass, timbales, congas, trombones, and vocalist) will ensure an irresistibly danceable evening.

September 10: Closing Night x PLAYGRND SERIES

To close the season in style, a series of DJ sets broadcast live, recognized by Queen Latifah, Doechii, and many others, promises an electric atmosphere and international visibility on social media.

Downtown Core Properties Unite for a Festive Summer

Place Ville Marie (PVM) is partnering with Centre Eaton de Montréal, Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, and Place Montréal Trust to offer a vibrant and unifying summer season in the heart of downtown Montreal. All summer long, downtown Montreal will come alive thanks to unprecedented event programming, including the Soirées sous l’Anneau x Aire commune under the Ring on the Esplanade PVM, created in collaboration with Aire commune. In addition to these festive gatherings, Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth and Centre Eaton de Montréal will each offer their own version of the Soirées sous l’Anneau, to be discovered by the end of the season.
