Lac St. Louis Lions celebrate 50th anniversary with over 50 notable alumni

On January 16, 2026, the Lac St. Louis Lions will welcome over 50 alumni from different generations for the team’s 50th-anniversary celebration, featuring a tribute to former players from 1976 to 2004 who helped shape the organization’s rich history.

This event will highlight several decades of excellence, passion, and the proud legacy of the Lions.

Friday, January 16th
Dollard-des-Ormeaux Civic Centre
Pre-game ceremony at 7:00 p.m.

This commemorative evening will bring together many iconic figures who have contributed to the prominence of the Lions and to Quebec hockey as a whole. Among the distinguished guests in attendance, we will have the honor of welcoming:

Jeff Hamilton – All-time leading in points and goals in Quebec M18 AAA Hockey League’s history with 220 points (122 goals) in 89 games

Claude Lapointe – 879 NHL games played (Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche, Calgary Flames, New York Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers), former Air Canada Cup champion in 1985

Enrico Ciccone – 374 NHL games played (Minnesota North Stars, Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning, Chicago Blackhawks, Carolina Hurricanes, Montreal Canadiens)

Bobby Dollas – 646 NHL games played (Winnipeg Jets, Quebec Nordiques, Detroit Red Wings, Anaheim Mighty Ducks, Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Ottawa Senators, Calgary Flames, San Jose Sharks and Pittsburgh Penguins) and former Air Canada Cup champion in 1981

Jean-François Sauvé – First star in Lions history with 123 points (44 goals) in 40 games, and 290 NHL games played (Buffalo Sabres and Quebec Nordiques)

Adrien Palvsic – Silver medalist at the 1992 Winter Olympics at Albertville and 214 NHL games (St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks, Tampa Bay Lightning and Anaheim Mighty Ducks)

Kevin Figsby – Head coach of the Lac St-Louis Lions from 1993 to 1998, now Commissioner of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League

Blair MacKasey – Former NHL scout and executive with Hockey Canada.

This will be a unique opportunity to celebrate the legacy of the Lac St-Louis Lions, reconnect with former players and executives, and recognize the organization’s lasting impact on athlete development and the community.
