This week Bivouac restaurant officially opens its terrace and launches its summer menu. It’s a great way to celebrate the first days of summer right in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles! The Bivouac is a social lounge, an artisanal bar and a modern bistro that will delight anyone looking to escape for an aperitif under the sun or a cozy evening around a Northern gourmet meal.
A summer menu brimming with classics with a fresh twist
True to form, Chef Xavier Dahan created a flavourful summer menu that features local Quebec ingredients. This summer, live from the terrace and the dining room, you’ll be able to taste such delights as salmon gravlax, braised pork belly, pan-fried scallops, smoked bison tataki, cod steak, beef filet mignon, rainbow trout filet, twice-cooked supreme roast poultry and crispy leg and pressed elk confit. Vegetarians will have plenty to feast on with these options also on the menu: mushroom cappuccino, gourmet tomato tart, spelt risotto verde and a variety of chickpea soccas. Dessert lovers can indulge their sweet tooth with four gourmet desserts: the Labrador, nectarines soaked in Labrador tea, the Saint-Paulin, the famous pouding chômeur, the Sainte-Thérèse, a cocoa financier, and the Saint-Jean, a hearty blueberry pie.
Terrasse Bivouac: the perfect place to spend your summer
Like a meadow clearing in the sprawling urban jungle above the bustling Quartier des spectacles, Terrasse Bivouac is a festive and warm spot that’s perfect for everyone. Ideally located to enjoy the lively Place des Festivals, Terrasse Bivouac spans over 3,600 square feet of outdoor space and has a snack bar and an oyster bar. With its decor of fresh flowers and herbs, it is also the best spot to enjoy a drink from the cocktail menu, developed in partnership with Ateliers & Saveurs Montréal.
Bivouac is located at 1255 Jeanne-Mance Street on the 6th floor and is the perfect place for drinks after work or before and after a show, for dinner with loved ones or business lunches. Have a look at their website here.
