AMCAL support of families in need – AMCAL was able to raise a record $55,000 at their recent 18th Annual Family Matters Golf Tournament on September 9that the Beaconsfield Golf Club. I feel so privileged to do the work I do which allows me to witness acts kindness of generosity each day, said Sophie Dalbec, Executive Director, while addressing the 160 dinner guests. Whether it be from members of my team or my Board of Directors, from friends of ACMAL or, often, from complete strangers, there is a multitude of helping hands we can lean on which touches us and makes a tremendous difference.

It would not be possible to put on this event without the generosity and dedication of many.Special mention goes to major partners Calko Group, Coerente Capital Management Inc., Tenaquip and Pictet; on-course partners Calzone Pizza, Cafe Marmelade, Le Panier, Épicerie Prette, Vignoble Domaine Bresee, Jay Peak Resort and Spinelli Infiniti; as well as Andrew Carter, long-standing MC.

Not only were important funds raised at the Golf Tournament for AMCAL Family Services this year, but guests were also given a small glimpse of how their dollars help support families in need. A brave and nervous 14-year old shared her experience in the Emotional Management and Residential Programs. With the help and guidance from the AMCAL team, her and her parents were dedicated and successful in bringing necessary changes to restore harmonious family relationships. The whole family can now attest they agree with AMCAL’s philosophy – Parents who change have kids who change.
