Gros Luxe is proud to announce that its restaurants are now a franchise concept thanks to an association with Groupe La Büff, a Quebec franchise company and founder of L’Å’ufrier restaurants.

“Groupe La Büff is very focused on neighbourhood restaurants and the human side, which is very much in line with my values and those of L’Gros Luxe,” says Alex Bastide, founder and owner of Les Gros Luxe restaurants. “I wanted to partner with them for their professionalism and great expertise in the field of franchises,” he adds.

Following this partnership (60% Gros Gros, 40% Groupe La Büff), the eight existing Gros Luxe branches are to be franchised and the upcoming branches are now available as a franchise model. A new branch located at 5942 Sherbrooke West in the Notre-Dame de Grâce district will be the first in this franchise project. Currently under construction, the opening is scheduled for March 2019. This association allows Groupe La Büff, already offering the franchises of L’Å’ufrier, Cantine Emilia and Cafe Chiado no.28, to expand and diversify its offer.

“For a long time, I wanted to expand the La Büff Group’s offering with a unique concept such as” L’Gros Luxe “,” explains Pedro Medina, President of Groupe La Büff. “We believe immensely in the Gros Luxury brand and there is a strong demand for this kind of dynamic and entertaining concept. Since the egg is a morning concept, the Gros Luxe comes to fill another need, “he says.

Alex Bastide will remain behind the Les Gros Luxe franchises by supporting new franchisees in connection with branding, customer experience, quality control and staff training. “Because of my involvement, people will still feel like I own the restaurant,” he says.

In the long term, the common goal for Groupe La Büff and Gros Luxe is to have branches open from morning to evening in neighbourhoods where demand is present.
