The overpasses at Dorval will need emergency repairs done over the next few weeks, Quebec Transport Minister announced on Tuesday.
“The closure will last several weeks and will allow urgent work to be undertaken on the two overpasses above highway 520, Dorval Circle, under Highway 20 will also be closed,” released from statement from Quebec Transport.
Construction been done is causing vibrations on the overpass leading Quebec Transport Ministry to take precautions and have decided to close Highway 20 both ways.
The Quebec Transport Ministry are suggesting that motorists avoid the area altogether and find different routes in the coming weeks. Drivers can take Highway 40 or service roads and detour signs will be posted.
Work for the next several weeks will be going on 24/7 until one lane is open each way.
