Hydro-Quebec owes customers another $35 million

The National Assembly of Quebec has granted another $35 million in rebates to Hydro-Quebec customers. Last year the figure was estimated at $500 million to past Hydro-Quebec clients, plus freezing electricity rates in 2020 and tie them to an inflation rate in the year 2021.

Now making the new figure $535 million that will be handed out to customers who bought power from Hydro-Quebec in the years 2018 and 2019.

Hydro-Quebec owes customers another $35 million

The way each customer will receive their credit is measured by the amount of electricity they consumed. The amount will be applied as a credit on invoices. If you are no longer a customer of Hydro-Quebec but were in the years 2018 – 2019 a check will be processed and mailed.
