The First MANMADE Store Opens its Doors in Laval, Backs Canadiens for the Cup

After serving over 1.5 million customers online, it was only natural for the four co-founders to continue prioritizing their relationship with customers. The first MANMADE store opens its doors May 1, 2026 at Carrefour Laval.  It is designed as a streamlined experience, halfway between a showroom and a welcoming space, where everything is arranged to showcase the product and simplify access. Redesigned fitting rooms, a collection available at all times in all sizes, and offer a self-guided experience.

The shopping journey stands out for its efficiency: guided by brand ambassadors, customers complete their transactions before receiving their orders, ready to take home. An approach that places comfort and connection at the heart of the experience.

MANMADE is a Montreal-based men’s essentials brand (boxer briefs, pants, T-shirts, swimwear, socks) that sells directly to consumers. Recently celebrating its 5th Anniversary, MANMADE was founded in 2021 by four longtime friends and former finance professionals: Anthony Ciavirella, Philip Santagata, Robert Marzin, and Roberto “Berto” Rebelo. With a mission to reinvent and create better basics for men.

From day one, we’ve built MANMADE by staying in constant dialogue with our customers through every interaction with our customer service team. Opening our first store is a natural next step: continuing that conversation, but in person. Being able to listen, understand, and see firsthand how our products fit into their daily lives is a key step in continuing to evolve our product offerings. ”- Robert Marzin, co-founder of Manmade.

Opening Day at Carrefour

On opening day, the public was invited to meet Anthony CiavirellaPhilip SantagataRobert Marzin, and Roberto “Berto” Rebelo, the four co-founders of Manmade, who were at the store all day and for much of the weekend.

Driven by sustained growth and a clear vision, the brand has reached over 1.5 million customers across Canada and ranks among the top five for online customer experience in the country, according to Léger’s 2026 WOW ranking.

MANMADE wholeheartedly with THE MONTREAL CANADIENS

The relationship between MANMADE and the Montreal Canadiens wasn’t born out of a contract, but out of love at first sight. Upon noticing that players, including David Savard, were already spontaneously wearing their boxers, the brand saw the connection form naturally. Impressed, Savard even invited MANMADE to a practice to outfit the team and staff, sparking a partnership that has remained strong ever since. One thing led to another, and the locker room embraced the brand. Word of mouth did the rest. Needless to say, at MANMADE, we’re rooting for the Montreal Canadiens in the playoffs… from the first game , all the way to the Stanley Cup!

Committed to Showcasing Quebec Culture

In a playful nod to the collective Quebec imagination, the Montreal-based brand MANMADE has also unveiled a groundbreaking collaboration with Les Têtes à Claques, a first-of-its-kind creation that marks the meeting of two worlds deeply rooted in local popular culture. And so, in less than 90 seconds, viewers witness a phone conversation between Raoul and Johnny Boy that transforms a pair of boxers into the promise of a completely wild experience.

This initiative is part of MANMADE’s commitment to showcasing Quebec in all its cultural richness, with a touch of self-deprecating humor, while continuing the conversation with its community.

Quebec has a strong, distinctive, vibrant culture. We’re from locals. Working with Les Têtes à Claques was a dream, but also a natural fit: it’s a way to celebrate what brings us together.”— Anthony Ciavirella, co-founder of MANMADE.
