West Island boy arrested after threats made to Des Sources High School

West Island boy arrested – Following the shutdown of Beaconsfield High School this past Tuesday, after a potential online threat of a school shooting, which in the end was actually meant for Brunswick High School in Georgia in the United States – another West Island school was forced to shutdown on Wednesday.

This time the threat was real and directed at Des Sources High School in Dollard-des-Ormeaux. And this time a 13 year-old boy has been arrested after having made threats on social media, forcing the school to close for the day. The content of the threats made have not yet been made public as the investigation is still underway.

According to the Police, the boy’s home was searched and no firearms or explosive substances were found – but he is expected to face charges of uttering threats. A court date has not yet been announced.
