The McCord Museum will be hosting its “Digital Spring” launch for the new season coming up. It will be an evening surrounding artificial intelligence as well as technological experiences never seen before. The museum will be hosting a ray of interactive workshops with robots, mobile apps, facial recognition and much more. Participatory activities will be of the party, offering you a unique and unforgettable sensory experience. During the event, you will also have the chance to explore the Spring photo exhibition “Michel Campeau: Life Before Digital”, which pays tribute to film photography and the technological revolution of the 1950s.
During the event, you will be able to meet robots Nao and Pepper, the only two in Canada ! You will also have the chance to try out the immersive reality helmets designed by the artists Alexandre Saunier. The helmets will take you into the heart of a machine as the data flow will transform into sound and light right before your eyes. There will also be an EEG headset where you can see your brain in action and watch it become a sound creation. The entire evening will have food and drinks available upon purchase of a ticket and DJ Tony Almonte will be performing electro music. The event will take place on Thursday March 22nd 2018 from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm at the McCord Museum. Tickets for the event are sold at $20 at the door and $16 online. Enjoy!
