Yesterday after 7 PM there was a mailbox explosion in Senneville. A 68 year old women opened up her mailbox on Senneville Road and her mailbox exploded.
The 68 year-old Senneville resident was picking up her mail and something exploded in her mailbox. Lucky there was a bystander who witnessed the whole incident and contacted the police. The Senneville resident received minor injuries and was not required to be transported to the hospital.
Senneville road was closed last night from Highway 40 exit to Phillips Ave. The Police bomb squad was on the scene with a bomb robot and bomb sniffing dogs to neutralize the property.
At this point the police have handed over the investigation to the arson squad for further investigation.
Senneville is a small town located on the western tip of the Island of Montreal.
