Ok it seems the Montreal City hall have really tried to kill people from driving to the downtown core. Montreal City Hall has announced that Montreal Parking meters will be payable until 11 PM. The reason given from City Hall is, “to be more consistent with the opening hours of different businesses and cultural institutions.”
City Hall says they hope this change will encourage more people to come downtown.
As of today November 15th parking meters in much of the Montreal downtown core and Old Montreal will apply from 8:00 AM until 11:00 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on weekends.
