From teaching children mathematics to training future athletes for soccer – This is Yasser Siddiqui’s success story

When it comes to a person’s career, not everyone knows immediately what they want to do or who they want to be. They have to go through several phases in their professional lives before they can settle on what they love doing and stay with it. Some people do not have the luxury of picking and choosing their careers. Their financial circumstances make it difficult for them to play around the professional field; they pick the option that pays better and stick with it. On the other hand, people who have the opportunity to choose their careers make the best of the situation. One such individual,  Yasser Siddiqui, has had the opportunity to play around in different professional fields before settling on something he truly feels passionate about.

Yasser’s professional life started quite early when he began working for his mother’s non-profit community school in India straight out of college. He had several different job descriptions and he did his best to help out wherever he could, garnering experience in more than one field of profession. Sometimes he would drive the students to school before taking them back home, while at another point in his career, he taught mathematics to 2-7 graders while also heading the finance department for the school.

It was during his time as a teacher that Yasser decided to coach soccer teams as well. When he was a student, Yasser had shown an affinity for the sport, and now he wanted to change how soccer was perceived in New Delhi. He bought a semi-professional soccer club and, with Adidas backing it up, managed to lead the club to a runner-up position in the national league. Once he believed he had done what he could for soccer in New Delhi, he felt that it was time to move on.

Yasser, knowing that the upcoming FIFA World Cup would be hosted by North America, decided that he wanted to be a part of that amazing experience. Once he had settled in Canada, he began to work on creating an affordable wearable device that could be used by soccer players. The device offered 70% features of any other expensive wearable device but at a much affordable rate. At the same time, he began to buy cutting-edge equipment to help soccer players train better. Yasser wanted to bring in the latest technology and use it to help train athletes to reach their full potential using the best resources.

The response he received for his ideas and creations was not what he expected. Every email he sent to various clubs and academies went unanswered, as did every message he sent via social media. No one wanted to buy or work with him, but Yasser wasn’t the one to lose hope easily – so he decided to change tactics.

He shifted his focus to becoming a coach and worked on getting the appropriate licenses. Once he had received them, Yasser worked on building a clientele that would help him kick-start his private soccer training company named Ayta Sports Canada. The organization aims to train future athletes in soccer with the help of the latest technology and upgrades.

Despite facing various setbacks, Yasser has managed to build a name for himself in the professional world of soccer and given his dedication and tenacity never to give up; he has a lot more to offer.
