The highest-rated offensive free agents In 2021

highest-rated offensive free agents In 2021

Even though the Super Bowl is still a month away, it’s never too early to start looking to next year. The 2021 free-agent class is going to be here before we know it and there are some very productive players taking up space on this list. We will continue to update the top players, but as we head closer to March, these players are going to be the best offensive free agents.

Dak Prescott, Quarterback

Prescott will be the prize of the offseason. Heading into the season, it felt like Prescott was going to be re-signed by the Cowboys even though Dallas used the franchise tag. After Prescott sustained a season-ending injury to his ankle, many are left to wonder what is going to happen to Dak. In just five games, Prescott was lighting up when watching free NFL streaming sites, with over 1,800 yards and nine touchdown passes. A second franchise-tag would be worth $37.7 million for the Cowboys, so a long-term extension is a likely play if Dallas will re-sign him. The Cowboys could offer Dak a deal worth four-years and $150 million. However, there are teams such as the Chicago Bears who are rumored to be interested in a sign-and-trade. Where Dak lands, that team will land a top-10 quarterback that has a ceiling of playing like a top-5 quarterback in the league.

Allen Robinson, Wide Receiver

Speaking of the Bears, the franchise is in real danger of losing their star wideout. Robinson is approaching 1,000 yards for a second straight season with quarterbacks Nick Foles and Mitchell Trubisky throwing to him. Nobody has a higher stock than A-Rob right now. The Bears and Robinson have a torn relationship as well that nearly led to Robinson holding out. At just 27 years old, he has plenty of prime years left. He has some of the best hands in football, which is evident with his current status with the given quarterbacks. The Miami Dolphins will be a contender for Robinson if the Bears can’t strike a deal. Miami has cap space to offer Robison $20 million per season. The Bears do too but have not indicated pulling through with a deal.

Trent Williams, Tackle

When the San Francisco 49ers traded for Williams, this was considered a great move. After refusing to play in 2019 after a dispute with the Washington Football Team, Williams slid right into 2020 and is playing as one of the best offensive tackles in the league. He can play nearly any schema and keeps defenders on their heels. At 32 years old, Williams is a seven-time Pro Bowl selection. That number will grow to eight after this year. Williams could command an annual salary of $20 million from the 49ers and San Francisco appears to be okay with resigning him for that much.

Chris Godwin, Wide Receiver

Don’t let the injury-plagued 2020 season get your down on Godwin. His previous two seasons were glimpses of how great Godwin can play. In 2018, Godwin finished with 842 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Last year, Godwin was an All-Pro after he finished with 86 receptions for 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns. He was one of the highest-rated receivers according to Pro Football Focus (90.7).  The Tampa Bay Bucs can re-sign Godwin for five years and $110 million, which is about $22 million annually. The more realistic option is the Bucs franchise tagging Godwin. With Tom Brady’s age (43), the future Hall of Famer has maybe one more good season left in him, so the Bucs don’t want to commit to anything long term until they know the true direction of their franchise.
