Saute-Moutons in Old Port of Montreal rides again

Saute-Moutons

The Clocktower Pier of the Old Port is very lively today. The “Saute-Moutons” boats are being put in the water by the Lachine Rapids Tours team. The captains, guides and mechanics are working hard to prepare for the upcoming season. After a summer that never started, the crew is excited about what promises to be a busy summer.

“We almost didn’t make it” says Jack Kowalski, owner of the company. However, through ingenuity and perseverance the company has survived and will once again provide the citizens of Montreal with the most refreshing and spectacular tour on the St-Lawrence river. “Last year, we offered a smaller trip called Jet St- Laurent. It allowed us to respect the health guidelines while ensuring revenue. It’s a 20 minute ride doing 180 degrees and speed in the Old-Port. It was never in the limelight compared to Saute-Moutons, but it truly shined last year!”

Since 1983, Lachine Rapids Tours has provided Montreal residents and tourists from around the world with the most refreshing and spectacular excursion on the St. Lawrence River. Saute-Moutons is rated Montreal’s number one nautical attraction each year by Trip Advisor.
