Quebec premier cancels curfew

Quebec’s second and much opposed curfew by the general public will be coming to an end Monday January 17th, 2022.

Schools will be re-opening to in-person learning this coming Monday January 17, 2021. All students must be wearing masks indoors. When asked about what masks children should be wearing it was said that N95 masks do not add more protection in the school settings.

Several universities and Quebec CEGEPs have announced that they will be opening later this month.

The province of Quebec has also lifted the ban to stores being closed on Sunday’s for the past two weeks. All store’s will be open with safety measures respected.

Big-box stores will be required to ask for vaccine passports

As of January 24, 2022 big-box stores over 1,500 square meters with the exception of grocery stores and pharmacies, (which are considered essential) will be required to ask customers proof of vaccine.

Also over 70 million rapid COVID test have been purchased by the province and will be available over the next few weeks and months.

Quebec restaurants and concert venues hope to be allowed open in the next couple weeks.
