Last weekend – October 26 & 27 2018 – foodies from Quebec and beyond gathered at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu for the 18th Gala des Grands Chefs, one of the most anticipated culinary events in Quebec !
This year, the 7 invited chefs from all-around the province were:
- Francis Wolf: Chef, Restaurant Le Hatley at Manoir Hovey Relais & Châteaux, North Hatley
- Hakim Chajar: Chef/Owner, restaurant Miel, Montreal
- Arnaud Marchand: Chef/Owner, restaurant Chez Boulay-bistro boreal, Quebec
- Baptiste Peupion: Executive Chef, Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth, Montreal
- Olivier Perret: Executive Chef, Sofitel Montreal
- Vianney Godbout: Owner and chef Alexandre St-Amant Tremblay, restaurant La Chasse-Galerie, Montreal
- Émile Tremblay: Chef/Co-owner, restaurant Faux bergers, Baie St-Paul, Charlevoix

The two-day culinary event “gathered” more than 200 food enthusiasts in the epicurean destination of Charlevoix. The big night, Saturday, October 27th, was “Gala night” as all chefs had to work together to create a 8-course menu, each of them representing a different country. Master Sommelier Jessica Harnois was taking care of the wine pairings. And here are the results.

This culinary extravaganza is one of Quebec’s most-anticipated foodie events. Every year, some of the best chefs in the province are invited to create an unforgettable dinner and guests are invited to join the party as part of the event is open to the public, while Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu is also offering tailor-made Gala-packages.
