Good news all around about the COVID-19 vaccination program in Quebec. The Quebec government hit all time high giving over 29,000 vaccinations this past Thursday March 11, 2021. 75% of Montrealers over 70 years old have received the first vaccine dose and or made an appointment to receive the vaccine shortly.
The Quebec government is allowing Montreal residents who are 65 and older to book an appointment to receive the vaccination on the government portal.
Where can I sign up for my COVID-19 vaccination?
The Quebec government is also ramping up Quebec pharmacies to help give residents the vaccination as of Monday March 15th, 2021. All 350 pharmacies are giving the vaccination by appointment only. Appointments can be made on the Quebec portal by clicking here. The pharmacies will be receiving 100 vaccines starting Monday March 15, 2021.
The vaccines being used at the pharmacies is the Moderna vaccine. Mass vaccination sites are using the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and the AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine is being used for home visists.
As of todays date March 13, 2021 over 620,000 Quebecers have received the first vaccination.
