Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante announced today that she has tested positive with COVID-19.
Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante learned that one of her close advisors tested positive with COVID-19 and she was going to go into preventative isolation.
Mayor Plante announced on her social media account, “Unfortunately, I received a positive result for a COVID-19 test.” (In french). Plante also said she is still going to work but remotely.
In a press release Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante said she is feeling fine and shows very few symptoms. The Mayor has been double vaccinated but does not have a booster shot yet.
“The Omicron variant is very contagious, stated Mayor Plante in a tweet.She also tweeted for everyone to be cautious and respect all the health rules the government has put in place.
