If you are a woman, on average, you wear 12 skin care products daily. This is dangerous territory. You may think that if you buy only the expensive stuff, you are Ok. You may pay $100.00 for a face cream and would never buy from a dollar store, but is the product safe for the skin?
In Europe, over 17,000 chemicals in skin care have been banned.
Only 11 in the USA
573 in Canada.
There is a lot of deception out there. It is easy for manufacturers to do so because there are few rules.
Don’t feel safe if you are male. You have been indoctrinated over the years to wearing more skin care. Even nail polish of flashy colors and black is becoming popular. This nail polish is polluting your bloodstream with the toxic formaldehyde and toluene.
What about your cleansers, sprays, washes, creams, lotions? Add to the Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives and toluene: Parabens, BHA and BHT, Synthetic colours (FD&C or D&C), Fragrance, Triclsoan, Sodium lauryl (and laureth)sulfate, and propylene glycol.
You should be very concerned about what goes onto your skin.
You question the food you eat. If your gut is healthy, you are somewhat protected in that you can filter some of the toxins you ingest. Your skin does not know how to do that.
It doesn’t help that the labels are hard to understand. Do not believe that a product would not be allowed to be sold if it was not safe. It is sold.
Check with EWG (environmental working group) to help explain an ingredient you question.
