The Jewish General Hospital (JGH) has made it to the Forbes list of Canada’s Best Employers, once again. This prestigious award is presented in collaboration with Statista, the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The award list can be viewed on the Forbes website at Forbes.com.

“It is extremely gratifying for the Jewish General Hospital to be recognized, once again, for having created the environment and the conditions that enable our staff to flourish in the delivery of patient-centred care,” says Dr. Lawrence Rosenberg, President and CEO of CIUSSS West-Central Montreal, where the JGH plays a pivotal role.

“Our ultimate goal, as encapsulated in our philosophy of Care Everywhere, is to achieve the right outcomes by delivering the right care at the right time in the location that is the most appropriate, safest and most convenient for patients. However, this can be achieved only if members of staff receive the support and recognition they deserve in surroundings that allow them to excel on behalf of their patients.”

The JGH has always been committed to fostering a workplace that nurtures talent, celebrates diversity, and encourages innovation. This recognition reinforces that the JGH is poised to continue leading the industry in employee satisfaction, setting a new standard for workplace excellence.

Rosa Zito, the CIUSSS’s Director of Human Resources, notes that the JGH is renowned for its long tradition—dating back nearly a century—of treating staff with respect and consideration, qualities that employees pass along to patients and their families. “When the staff of the JGH—and other facilities throughout our CIUSSS—perceive that their efforts are acknowledged and valued by their employer, they feel genuinely intent on giving of themselves to the best of their professional and personal abilities,” Ms. Zito says. Forbes and Statista selected Canada’s Best Employers 2026 through an independent survey from a vast sample of almost 40,000 Canada-based employees from all industry sectors working for companies employing at least 500 people within Canada.

Statista publishes hundreds of global industry rankings and company listings in partnership with high-profile media outlets. This research and analysis service is based on the success of statista.com, the leading data and business intelligence portal that provides statistics, business-relevant data, and various market and consumer studies and surveys.
