Montreal Decarie Expressway to be closed

Montreal drivers’ frustrations with the city’s never-ending road closures are about to be tested again. Alongside the regular weekend closures, work on the Decarie Expressway is expected to begin on Monday May 13th. The much needed work on the road should come as no surprise to many drivers who have been carefully dodging the many potholes on a daily basis, some big enough to send hubcaps flying – as seen by the collection lining the side of the expressway. With the regular weekend closures around the Turcot Interchange and Champlain Bridge, here is what you need to know:

DECARIE EXPRESSWAY From Monday May 13th to End of Summer – with partial to complete closures from 10:00PM to 5:00AM. *Note that over the summer some closures will take place for the full weekend. > It will effect HWY 15 Southbound between Highway 40 and Sherbrooke Street where repaving work will take place. The work will also include repairs on Marcel-Laurin and Decarie Boulevards near the area of the Expressway undergoing work.

TURCOT INTERCHANGE AREA

*Closed from Friday 11:59PM to Monday 5:00AM:

• HWY 15 South between Exit 63 (to Gaetan-Laberge Boulevard).

• HWY 15 North between Exit 60 (Gaetan-Laberge and Highway 10 West) and the De La Verendrye Boulevard entrance.

• HWY 20 East to the Decarie Expressway North.

*Closed from SUNDAY 11:30PM to Monday 5:00AM:

• HWY 15 North ramp to the Decarie Expressway North

CHAMPLAIN BRIDGE AREA

*Closed from Friday 11:59PM to Monday 5:00AM:

• Marie-Victorin Boulevard West from the HWY 10 West exit ramp and the HWY 10 East entrance Ramp in Brossard.
