For the first time ever, six Division 1 NCAA basketball teams will face off at Laval’s Place Bell for the debut of the Northern Classic multi-tournament event. The Northern Classic features an elite collection of prospective NBA talent from some of the strongest basketball programs in the NCAA. Spectators can expect the intense, calculated and spectacular play synonymous with college basketball as well as the opportunity to see potential March Madness superstars.
With all teams playing their regular season in different conferences, this will be the only time that basketball fans on the Eastern seaboard will be able to see them go head-to-head. These non-conference games are sanctioned by the NCAA, and, unlike exhibition games, wins will directly influence the teams’ qualification for the post-season playoffs – this is a first in Quebec!
