Quebecers will wake-up this morning with new area codes. Montreal will welcome a new area code 263.
The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission said it is the easiest way to solve the problem as area code 514 and 438 will run out of numbers as of February 2024.
Also another area code introduced will be 354 that will be used around the Island of Montreal which is being served by area codes 450 and 579.
Regions in Quebec served by 819 and 873 will also now be served by 468.
Don’t worry your phone number will not be affected by these changes.
