Trudeau slams Trump’s new Tariffs – “Let it be clear, These tariffs are totally unacceptable!” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on the new tariffs announced today by the Trump administration. Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs office said they would retaliate with placing tariffs on American goods.
“Americans remain our partners allies and our friends. This is not about the American people. We have to believe at some point common sense will prevail. But we see no sign of that in this action today by the United States administration. These tariffs are in a front to the long standing security partnership between Canada and the United States and in particular in a front to the 1000’s of Canadians who have fought and died along side their American brothers and arms.” said Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
