West Island double homicide

Montreal Police were called on Wednesday at 9:30 pm about two bodies in a home on Île Bizard, West Island. Both bodies, one male and one female were found inside their home.

Mitchell Arnott has been formally charged with the 30th and 31st homicide in Montreal this year. Mitchell Arnott was arrested after showing up at a hospital wearing bloody clothing.

The deceased were Mitchell Arnott’s parents, Wayne Arnott, 60 years of age, owner of Bluenose Collectibles in Plaza Pointe-Claire and Louise Boucher, 65 years of age, mother of the accused.

Police have said that the killings were likely sparked from a family conflict but did not divulge anymore information at this time.

Mitchell Arnott appeared in court this afternoon (Thursday October 20th, 2022) via video conference.

Police are still on the crime scene collecting evidence.
