Les Glissades Domaine des Pays d'en Haut opens early

World’s largest snow ride park turns 70, just 30 minutes from Montreal!

Piedmont, Quebec November 12, 2025 – Les Glissades of Domaine des Pays d’en Haut will kick off their winter season as early as Saturday, November 15. This early opening coincides with the continuation of the Domaine’s 70th anniversary celebrations, marking a milestone for this iconic Laurentian attraction.

To celebrate the occasion, the public is invited to enjoy the first runs of the season from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a special opening weekend rate of just $7.77. These discounted tickets are available online only and in limited quantities.

The Champion and Boomerang zones will be open, served by the magic carpet lifts cleverly sheltered under a transparent dome.

Les Glissades at Domaine des Pays d’en Haut, the world’s largest snow-ride park, remains the first snow-sliding centre in Quebec to open this year.

In the heart of the Laurentians, between mountains and valleys, and located about 30 minutes from Montreal, Le Domaine des Pays d’en Haut is a top destination for dining, outdoor activities, entertainment, connecting with nature, or experiencing thrilling emotions.

“This year again, we have upgraded our snowmaking system to prepare our runs faster and more efficiently. We are also working on opening new runs for the season to offer an even larger and more varied sliding area. I’m extremely proud of our team’s work and thrilled to kick off the season early once again. What drives us is creating, with every visit, unique moments and sliding speeds that deliver an adrenaline rush to our guests,” said Nicolas Raymond, Operations Manager and Co-owner.

A Glissades tradition: Santa Claus is coming to town!

The Raymond family, owners of the Domaine des Pays d’en Haut, are keen to maintain their traditions. Known throughout the province and held for the past two decades, the famous arrival of Santa Claus by helicopter is on the agenda again this year for those looking for a magical experience. In partnership with the municipality of Piedmont, it’s a not-to-be-missed moment for young and old, on Sunday, December 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be outdoor entertainment, a DJ, inflatable games and a hot chocolate bar. The real Santa Claus will make his spectacular entrance around 11 a.m., descending from the sky by helicopter before settling in the main lodge’s great hall to meet the children, take photos, and collect their wish lists.
