Hottest brunch spots in Montreal – Now that the week is (finally) over, what better way to start off your weekend than… going out for a  decadent brunch? Montreal certainly doesn’t lack great restaurants that are serving fun and delicious brunch menus. To make your life easier, we compiled a list of Hottest brunch spots in Montreal. Enjoy your weekend!

Hottest brunch spots in Montreal

Fall rooftop brunch at Hotel William Gray

(Note: this one is a “pop-up”, therefore if you are interested in trying the William Gray brunch on their heated rooftop, you only have two weekends to do so : this one (October 20th-October 21) and next one (October 27-October 28th.)) That being said, the brunch menu is healthy and light : fresh fruits, yogurt parfait, avo’ toast, and served in the perfect setting : outside, on the rooftop of the very chic William Gray Hotel. We should all enjoy our “last terrace of the season” before it’s (really) too late. Places are limited as it only goes on for 4 days.

Kids fun and high technology at XVI XVI

The new original concept of Restaurant Le XVI XVI that has been the talk of the town because of their robot bartender is serving brunch on Sundays. Both: “à la carte” menu and “breakfast buffet” are offered, while kids can play with the robot that is also serving… juices and smoothies for the occasion. The gigantic brunch buffet includes: home-made pastries, fresh fruit platters, oysters and meat stations. The “à la carte menu”, where you will find truffle scrambled eggs and orange-caramel French toast showcases what talented chef Joris Larigaldie can do in the kitchen.

Boho chic and Bali vibes at Gypsy

For those (like me!) who are craving smoothie bowls, good coffee and tropical vibes, you will be served at Gypsy Montreal, the sister property of the highly popular concept that was born in…. Bali. Created by  Montreal-restaurateur Kevin Latrem who decided to live the dream and move to Bali, Gypsy Bali was, indeed, located on the other side of the globe, but always had Montreal roots. The chef, Robin Filteau-Boucher (Les Chefs!, Helena) who opened the Bali-concept with Latrem, is now in charge of the Montreal location. There, you will find a various selection of smoothie bowls, fresh-pressed juices and a (real) barista bar.

Brunching in style at Livia Matcha

No need to be a fan of Matcha to enjoy the new concept of those who brought us the high-quality sushi bar Ryu. Livia Matcha, open 7 days/week, is serving top-quality coffee, tea and matcha in addition to a short breakfast/brunch menu. Think açai and pitaya bowls, matcha waffles, parfaits and colourful salads. Their first location just opened in Westmount but rumour has it that they are opening a second location downtown Montreal next year.
