Montreal based airline Air Transat announced today that they would suspend all flights out of Toronto for the remainder of the 2021 winter season. However they will continue to run flights out of Montreal.
Air Transat said that the travel restrictions from the Federal government plus the need for all passengers to provide a negative COVID-19 test and two week quarantine has caused a major drop in their bookings.
The airline will continue to operate out of Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport in Dorval with a total of six international destinations which include: Cancun, Mexico, Holguin, Cuba, Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, Paris, France.
At this time there has been no date given as too when flights will return to and from Pearson International Airport in Toronto.
