The Montreal Police were called early afternoon Christmas Day about reports of a serious injury. An employee of La Grande Roue de Montréal was doing maintenance at the time of the injury.
The 22 year old man who got trapped on La Grande Roue de Montréal died Christmas afternoon after taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The Montreal Police say the (CNESST) will be investigating the death.
A spokesperson for La Grande Roue de Montréal said the ride will be closed until further notice.
