Quebec is heading into the worst part of this pandemic with the virus out of control. Reports indicate that Quebec Premier François Legault will announce a province-wide lockdown with curfews.
Sources say Quebec will extend lockdown three or four weeks including, schools, offices, construction work, retail, and all other commercial operations.
Essential business like grocery, pharmacies, SAQ and cannabis stores (SQDC) will stay open with restricted measures as before.
Premier Lequalt was supposed to make the announcement today Tuesday January 5 however is has been delayed 24 hours to meet with representatives of affected sectors and to examine means of the lockdown.
Provincial Health officials want to impose a mandatory curfew that would begin at 8 or 9 p.m.
