On December 30th a bunch of Quebec influencers and reality show stars posted videos completely taking over the fight, with no masks, dancing and jumping in the aisle, vaping and passing around a bottle of liquor on the plane. One was even seen crowd-surfing while the Sunwing party plane was in mid flight.
The Sunwing flight from Montreal to Cancun on New Year’s Eve was completely out of control with the passengers ignoring public health measures.
These influencers could face fines up to thousands of dollars and perhaps jail time.
The Canadian Federal government released a statement earlier this week that the departments of Transport, Public Safety and Health have all launched investigations into the incident.
A promoter 111 Private Club, who chartered the plane from Sunwing and organized a six day all-inclusive stay at a Cancun resort had even advertised their would be a DJ on the plane.
Sunwing has cancelled the return fight along with other Canadian airlines, Air Transat and Air Canada to ensure the safety of other passengers and the airlines crews.
