Partage-Action’s signature Red & White Benefit Evening successfully collects much needed funds for West Islanders in need

West Island business leaders – On Monday, January 28th, Partage-Action celebrated 15 years of its signature fundraiser, the Red & White Benefit Evening. 270 local business and community leaders attended the event which raised $141,000. Since its creation in 2005, the Red & White Benefit Evening has raised more than $1.9 million.

This is a unique event for a unique organization. For the past 15 years, the Red & White Benefit Evening has brought together business and community leaders from financial institutions, pharmaceutical companies, retail pharmacies, the construction sector, industrial products, wellness services and many more. This group of individuals put aside their business rivalries and year after year, come together with one goal in mind: giving back to their community. said the new Executive Director of Partage-Action, Sophie McCann.

Partner companies honored during the event include: Yannick Pelletier from Banque Nationale and John Helou from Pfizer Canada, this year’s event co-chairs. Jacques Garceau from TELUS, this year’s annual fundraising chair. Other companies being honored include Avon Canada, AquaSpa Lyne Giroux, BMO, Broccolini, Desjardins Ouest-de-l’Île, Construction Jean Houde, Merck Canada, Otsuka, Pharmaprix, Rideau Recognition Solutions, RBC, Scotia Bank, TD, TELUS and Tenaquip.

By taking part in this event, business leaders play a crucial role in making the West Island a vibrant and healthy community. It is heartening to see strong community values in company missions and purpose-driven workplace cultures. said Mr. Michel Beland, Regional vice-president RBC Royal Bank, Montreal north-west / Outaouais region, and President of the Board of Directors of Partage-Action.

Times are changing, and more employees are urging their employers to get involved in their communities. Since it is difficult for an employer to choose only one cause that will speak to all of their employees, choosing Partage-Action makes sense. Employers and employees end up supporting 40 local community groups who offer help, comfort and support to West-Islanders coping with a broad range of needs from food insecurity, to cancer, mental health issues and more. added M. Beland.

Mr. Beland also thanked this year’s event partners who contributed to the event’s success: Spinelli Lexus Pointe-Claire & Lachine (Gold Level Partner), Roxboro Excavation Inc. (Gold Level Partner), Pharmaprix (Wine Partner), Price Cooper Waterhouse (Dessert Partner), Aqua Spa Lyne Giroux (Oyster Partner), PME-MTL (Cocktail Partner), National Bank (Photobooth Partner), TELUS (Online Auction Partner).

The proceeds of the evening will bring us one step closer to our annual fundraising campaign goal of $1.3 million. The campaign runs until March 31, 2019. Anyone who would like to contribute to building a healthy and vibrant West Island community, can make an online donation at communityshares.ca.
