Lakeshore Ball – The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation (LGHF) held, for the 18th year in a row, the most prestigious event of all its activities, the Lakeshore Ball, which took place on November 17th at the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel. Co-presided by Desjardins, F.J. Machine Shop, the Mehra Family Foundation, Roxboro Excavation, Unigear-Santasalo and West Island Roofing, the evening drew a parallel between cultural diversity and light. Radio host Shaun McMahon of The Beat 92.5 lent his hosting talent to the event, which raised $ 460,000, amount that will be used to enhance health care for the West Island community, by purchasing equipment that will improve both the Obstetrics and Intensive Care departments.

It is to the sound of bagpipes, musicians and dancers in folk costumes from around the world, that more than 350 dignitaries, partners and guests were welcomed at the Lakeshore Ball. Cocktails, a five-course meal, an open bar, live performance by the band Electrik, a silent auction and testimonials were part of the magnificent evening.

“This year, the theme brought us around the world, which was a tribute to the cultural diversity of our community. We celebrate this diversity as it brings light, joy and richness into our lives; it broadens our horizons and allows us to flourish, ” said Heather Holmes, Managing Director of the LGHF. “A major event such as this one does not happen alone and the LGHF has the privilege and the pleasure of being able to count on pillars of our community that are also examples of generosity. To that end, I sincerely thank our Co-Presidents, our Sponsors, the Ball Committee, the Board Members, the Volunteers, and the LGHF team for their passion, commitment and hard work. “
